About
Awtar Music Training Institute is a premium music academy based in Arjan, Dubai. Originally established in Syria, Awtar brings years of musical experience, passion, and family values to the UAE.
We offer professional music lessons for children and adults in piano, violin, guitar, oud, drums, vocal training, choir, and music theory. Our lessons are delivered by highly qualified academic instructors with extensive teaching and performance experience.
Awtar Music Training Institute is licensed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), and students receive certificates recognized in the UAE upon the successful completion of their programs.
More than a traditional music school, Awtar is a warm and artistic space where students can learn, perform, connect, and enjoy the beauty of music in a comfortable atmosphere.

Amir Karajoli
Co-Founder and CEO and Violin Teacher
Amir Karjouli is the Co-Founder and CEO of Awtar Music Training Institute, a professional violinist and educator, and the leader of Iyad Rimawi’s ensemble. He has performed in more than thirty countries, including presidential events at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, attended by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and visiting heads of state. Based in Dubai, he has held the UAE Golden Visa since 2021 and teaches violin at Awtar.
Jwan Karajoli
Co-Founder and Oud, Oriental Singing & Music Theory Teacher and Music Therapist
Jwan Karjouli is a composer, orchestra conductor, and music educator with over thirty-five years of experience in music education. He holds a PhD in the Philosophy of Music and a CPD certificate in Music Therapy. His background includes management in music and performing arts alongside his composition and conducting work. At Awtar, his work covers oud, Oriental singing, music theory, and music therapy.
Carmen Tockmaji
Singer, Songwriter, and Vocal Coach
Carmen is a singer, songwriter, and vocal coach who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus, where she specialized in Classical Singing. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Damascus University. At Awtar Music Training Institute, her teaching activities focus on group singing sessions, choir sessions, and singing workshops, drawing on both her academic background and professional experience in classical singing.
Nareg Abajian
Piano Teacher
Nareg Abajian is a pianist, composer, arranger, producer, and music teacher with over two decades of experience. He holds a BA in Music Performance from the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus and has collaborated with orchestras, ensembles, choirs, and artists internationally. Based in Dubai, he teaches students of different ages and levels, combining classical foundations with jazz and contemporary music while developing practical musicianship through his piano teaching practice.
Majd Mallak
Guitar Teacher
Majd is a music director, performance coach, and educator with over 17 years of experience helping children, teenagers, and adults become confident musicians. He specializes in teaching classical, flamenco, rock, pop, and contemporary guitar. His approach combines instrumental training, stage performance, ensemble coaching, composition, arranging, and music production, offering students a comprehensive musical education that supports their development both individually and collaboratively, from the first lesson to the concert stage.
Ola Karajoli
Guest Piano Teacher
Ola Karajoli is a pianist and guest piano teacher with over twenty-five years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music and has performed as a soloist, with symphony orchestras, and in chamber music ensembles. She also led the Piano Department at the Higher Institute of Music in Syria for five years, combining extensive teaching experience with an accomplished professional performance background.
Fares Al‑Dahhan
Fares Al‑Dahhan’s Rhythmic Rise , From Damascus to Dubai
Fares Al‑Dahhan, a master percussionist and drummer, has been steadily making waves in the UAE’s vibrant music scene. Born and raised in Damascus, Syria, Fares holds a Bachelor of Music from the esteemed Damascus Conservatory, where he specialized in percussion. Today, he calls Dubai home, blending his rich cultural roots with modern rhythms—and in doing so, inspiring aspiring musicians across the region.
